Skating under the stars in the South of England’s most exciting ice rink!

Each Christmas Bournemouth Borough Council host a series of events to promote the seaside town. The highlight of these is the transformation of the Lower Gardens park into the ‘Gardens of Light‘, an award winning interactive illuminated spectacle combining architecture, materials, sound, video and light. For the 2014 season the Blue Martini Group were delighted to be asked by the Council to build and run a 450 sq m outdoor ice rink in the heart of the Gardens. As well as the spectacular surroundings Bournemouth Ice Rink featured a beautiful cafe bar where you could sip a hot chocolate while watching the action on the ice and it’s own Hippodrome Disco Light Pod built in to provide on-ice music!
